Hello,
I've created several v2v patches (1.0->1.1->1.2->2.0) and a cummulative patch (1.x->2.0, containing 3 differences).
While applying the v2v patches in sequence works fine, producing correct results, the cummulative patch does not work for all source versions. Although no errors are reported some files show binary differences. In one case even an xml file did not get updated correctly. Applying the cummulative patch to the 1.2 version usually works...
As the update log file does not contain any entries for the files in question, I suspect that did not even try to update them...
* Text files do not carry a version at all * Some of our binary files always have version 1.0.0.0 although changed - I get: Warning #21: Version numbers of file 'Data.dll' in old 1.4.0.0 and new 1.4.1.1 versions are identical (1.0.0.0).
I tried to set the Df build options "Test" and "Out-of-date detection" to various settings including MD5 checking, and the diff build log shows valid entries for the files in question. However, the diffs seem not to get used in the update process.
If I'm just using the defaults: what settings should I change to enforce a diff to be applied in the update?
What possible mistakes are likely to be the reason for my problem?
